A dumping ground
This client contacted us due to a roof needing renewal following rubbish being thrown on to it from neighbouring flats. The accumulated debris had caused the roof to leak.
What We Did

The process involved assessing any risks, installing safety handrails and scaffolding, cleaning off waste, removing grit, priming the area and installing a 2-layer overlay system, consisting of a bitumen membrane underlay and cap sheet.

We used the Technoelast K-TMS polyester membrane underlay followed by the Unifleks EKP cap sheet, both of which have been designed to perform in the harshest weather conditions, with excellent low temperature flexibility to -20℃. Making this system a suitable choice for our climate.

The project was completed in 20 days with minimal disruption to residents, this kept the client incredibly happy. It was signed off including a 20-year guarantee from the material supplier, Wonder Builds.
The Results
Multiple flat roofs were refurbished using a new Elastaseal liquid warm roof system. The existing felt was retained as a vapour control layer, with new insulation boards installed and overlaid with a reinforced liquid system. The result is a durable, seamless, and energy-efficient roof designed to enhance performance and extend lifespan.
