Project Overview
All Aspect Roofing was appointed to refurbish deteriorated roof areas at RAF Benson Community Primary School. The works involved removing the existing roof coverings and installing new felt and metal roofing systems to improve weather resistance, durability and long-term performance. The school remained operational throughout the project, requiring careful planning and coordination to maintain a safe environment for pupils, staff and visitors while minimising disruption to the school day.
The client required a long-term roofing solution rather than temporary repairs, with the works designed to protect the building from further deterioration and provide reliable performance for years to come.
The Challenge
The existing roof coverings had deteriorated significantly and were no longer providing the level of protection required. Ongoing water ingress was affecting the building, while the age and condition of the roof meant that ongoing repairs were becoming less effective as a long-term solution. As the school remained open throughout the works, safety and minimising disruption were key priorities. Access and working areas had to be carefully managed, with the project planned in stages and regular communication maintained with the school team throughout the refurbishment.
The Solution
Survey and Roofing Specification
Following a detailed inspection of the roof, we developed a refurbishment plan using a new felt roofing system alongside metal roofing elements where required. The selected system was installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidance and is covered by a 25-year guarantee.

The works were carefully planned around the school’s day-to-day operations to minimise disruption. Regular communication with the school team helped ensure access, working areas and the programme were managed safely throughout the project.
