Founded by Mikayla Beames—who was diagnosed with brain cancer at just four years old—Team Mikayla was born out of a firsthand understanding of what children miss out on while undergoing intensive medical treatment. The charity operates with a clear, heartfelt mission: to lift the spirits of young cancer patients receiving treatment across regional hospitals (including Leicester Royal Infirmary, John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, and Nottingham Children’s Hospital) by fulfilling their personal wishes.
